Material Value Coefficients

Filed under: Uncategorized — mortaldata @ 2:19 am

We’ve moved!

This blog has been moved, please direct your attention to the new website, mortaldata.com.

This post will be a bit terse, but those who know how to use a spreadsheet shouldn’t have much trouble making use of the information. I’m done with mortal online. those who wish to continue to support the cycle of failure may find this information fairly interesting.

These are the material value coefficients for crafting of items. How exactly these values play into the damage and protection of the end items is complicated, and perhaps will be in a future post. For now, you can assume higher values are ‘better’ than lower values. Not every column follows the same scale, so don’t get excited over the adjusted bashing damage values.

For weapons, there’s the piercing/bashing/slashing/weakspot values, as well as an adjusted bashing damage constant that takes the weight of the material into consideration. in general, thrusting attacks use the piercing damage, swinging attacks use the slashing/bashing damage.

For armors, there’s just piercing/bashing/slashing protection values.

Some materials shown are not actually in game(yet?) so the values for them are assumptions based upon values from other materials.

  2. It’s a shame you left I always liked your site. I hope the site will stay up anyway and hopefully you return if SV improves there quality of patches.

BTW the oghmium recipe has been on Mortal wiki for quite a while. It’s Tungsteel + Cronite + Sanguite. http://www.mortalwiki.org/wiki/Recipes.
